New conference room technology in Miron’s Wenzler rooms installed by Fearing’s Audio Video Security.

Miron Construction – Wenzler Conference Rooms

Miron Construction is Wisconsin’s #1 commercial builder and ranks among the top construction companies in the Midwest. Known for delivering iconic projects like the University of Iowa and Lambeau Field Stadium, Miron has set the standard for excellence in construction. However, as their company continued to grow, they faced challenges with their internal technology, particularly in their Wenzler conference rooms—spaces designed for large meetings, presentations, and training sessions.

Problems

Miron’s existing AV setup in the Wenzler rooms was outdated and unreliable. Previous AV vendors had failed to deliver functional and user-friendly systems, leaving Miron’s team frustrated. As a result:

• Technical issues disrupted meetings and trainings.

• The AV system was difficult to operate, causing inefficiencies during presentations.

• The poor performance of the AV equipment led to a loss of confidence in the space as a reliable tool for their critical business functions.

Miron needed a partner who could not only upgrade their technology but also deliver a seamless, dependable system that aligned with the high standards of their construction projects.

Challenges

When Fearing’s Audio Video Security began working with Miron, we faced several key challenges:

Restoring Trust: Miron had experienced repeated disappointments with previous AV integrators. Convincing them that Fearing’s could deliver on our promises required us to go above and beyond.

Custom Integration: The Wenzler rooms required a tailored solution that combined reliability with aesthetic appeal. The AV system needed to be highly functional while maintaining the professional design of the spaces.

Changing Design Plans: The project underwent design changes and faced construction delays, meaning Fearing’s had to remain flexible and adaptive to meet shifting timelines and evolving needs.

Solutions

Fearing’s approached the Miron project with the goal of restoring confidence in the company’s AV systems while delivering a solution that was reliable, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to use. Despite challenges such as shifting design plans and construction delays, the team remained flexible and adapted to the evolving needs of the project.

The new AV system in the Wenzler rooms solved the technical issues Miron had experienced, providing a state-of-the-art solution that not only met but exceeded expectations. The direct communication between Fearing’s and Miron throughout the project ensured that every aspect of the installation was tailored to the company’s high standards of quality and functionality.

Technology Installed

Direct View LED LG Video Wall: This all-in-one video wall provides a high-impact display, integrated flush into the wall for a sleek, modern look.

Q-SYS Audio Processing Platform: Paired with Seervision’s AI-driven camera automation, this system enabled seamless audio and video capture during meetings, web conferences, and hybrid-remote training sessions.

Shure MXA Ceiling Microphones: Twelve microphones were installed to ensure crystal-clear audio in all parts of the room.

Confidence and Additional Monitors: Two 65-inch monitors were added, along with a confidence monitor, to ensure all participants had clear visibility of the content, even from obstructed angles.

Crestron Control System: A user-friendly Crestron interface simplifies room management, allowing users to operate the system with minimal training.

Motorized Drop-Down Rear Cameras: These cameras were installed using fold-down mounts that matched the room’s custom wooden ceiling tiles, preserving the aesthetic integrity of the space.

Customer Testimonial

“Before beginning our project with Fearing’s, I shared some of the horror stories we experienced with past AV integrators, going into detail about how their work landed us in a mess of unreliable technology. Fearing’s was quick to share the typical sales pitch about why they were different and how committed they were to doing their best for their customers, but it’s really hard to believe those types of promises the fifth time around. Well, Ehren [Tresner, VP of Technology and Innovation] and his team delivered on those promises. We may have experienced a few hiccups along the way, but in the end, the team at Fearing’s provided us with a room we can be proud to share with our team members and guests. Thank you, Fearing’s team!”
