High Tech Installation Meets Innovative Company
Case Study: A Transformative Collaboration with Zendesk
In 2007, an innovative software-as-a-service company called Zendesk was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. This American multinational, now headquartered in San Francisco, is committed to enhancing customer support, sales, and other customer communications worldwide.
In pursuing expansion and regional visibility, 2018 witnessed an exciting chapter in Zendesk’s journey. The company announced its plans to establish a new office and a Midwest regional hub in Madison, Wisconsin, breathing life into the 7th to 9th floors of the Old National Bank building located at 25 West Main Street.
The project’s scale required a trusted partner to bring their vision to fruition, and Fearing’s was the chosen collaborator. Introduced through Vogel Bros. Builders, the general contractor, we were entrusted with integrating the new office’s audio-visual (AV) and security infrastructure.
Zendesk’s aspirations were clear: they sought a tailored AV solution, particularly for their myriad of conference rooms. They required a partner that would not dictate but listen and adapt. Fearing’s impressed with their flexibility, notably in designing the conference room technology touch panel layout based on Zendesk’s feedback.
The collaboration resulted in installing 37 different conference rooms, huddle rooms, and other collaborative spaces in Madison and Milwaukee, WI, equipped with office automation and conference room technology like digital signage, room scheduling panels, and state-of-the-art AV technology. One highlight was the Aurora 24’x7’ direct-view LED video wall installed in the Town Hall Space, turning it into a focal point for company-wide communications.
The technical suite included LG and Philips displays, Biamp Tesira FORTE audio DSP, Crestron control, SVSI Video over IP devices, Shure microphones, Brightsign digital signage, QSC Speakers, and Vaddio conferencing cameras. Alongside the AV, office automation, and video wall installations, Fearing’s also expertly handled the Axis video surveillance and HID access control installation, marking the completion of the Madison and Milwaukee, WI area project in late 2018.
The partnership didn’t stop there. Zendesk further expanded into the 6th floor of the building and even a new office in Singapore, with Fearing’s at the helm of AV, security, data, and fiber cabling installations.
Zendesk’s satisfaction with Fearing’s work was manifested in their collaborative initiative to produce a Fearing’s TV commercial, showcasing their new facility and appearing on camera. This enduring partnership has been a testament to Fearing’s ability to listen, adapt, and deliver exceptional results.
