Installing AV Systems for Wisconsin’s #1 Commercial Builder

What has the Fearing’s team been up to this summer?

We’ve been busy! We had the recent honor of completing a project for Miron, the commercial construction company in Milwaukee ranked number one in Wisconsin and eighth in the Midwest. Miron has built beautiful spaces for iconic institutions like the University of Iowa and Lambeau Field Stadium.

But despite all their professional success, Miron still faced significant challenges with their existing AV and conference room technology. Their Wenzler rooms, a trio of spaces used for training, presentations, and large meetings, were equipped with technology that left Miron’s team deeply frustrated. Their previous AV vendors had failed to deliver reliable and user-friendly solutions, leading to frequent technical issues and a lack of confidence in their meeting spaces.

A Need for Better AV

Miron’s goal was clear: they needed a streamlined, dependable, and aesthetically pleasing AV system that matched the high standards of their construction projects.

When Fearing’s Audio Video Security first met with Miron, the team expressed dissatisfaction with their current setup and skepticism about other AV integrators’ promises. They needed a partner who could deliver on promises and restore their confidence in the technology supporting their critical business functions.

Here’s what we did differently.

Our Solution: Cutting-Edge Technology & Seamless Integration

We knew Miron needed a reliable and easy-to-use system, so we devised a solution that would address the current issues and elevate the Wenzler rooms’ functionality and design.

The centerpiece of the upgrade was an all-in-one Direct View LED LG video wall, providing high-impact displays integrated flush into the wall for a sleek, professional appearance.

To improve Miron’s conferencing experience, we deployed a Q-SYS platform for audio processing, coupled with Seervision’s AI-driven camera automation, six Q-SYS cameras, and twelve Shure MXA ceiling microphones.

Combined, these solutions enhance audio-video capture during Q&A sessions, web conferences, and hybrid-remote training.

In the larger, combinable spaces in the Wenzler rooms, we installed a confidence monitor and two additional 65-inch monitors to ensure everyone has a clear view of the content, even from the back or obstructed angles. The displays were mounted using specialized fold-down mounts from Iconnect, preserving the clean aesthetic of the room when not in use. Rear cameras were installed using motorized drop-down mounts, with custom-mounted wood ceiling tiles to match the room’s design.

To simplify control, we installed a Crestron control system for its standardized, user-friendly interface. Even those who skip training can still easily use the room system!

A Resounding Success

Despite construction delays and shifting design plans, the project was a complete success. The Fearing’s team worked closely with Miron to adapt to changing needs, ensuring that the final setup met and exceeded their expectations.

Dan Schneider, our main contact at Miron, shared his satisfaction: “Before beginning our project with Fearing’s, I shared some of the horror stories we experienced with past AV integrators, going into detail about how their work landed us in a mess of unreliable technology. Fearing’s was quick to share the typical sales pitch about why they were different and how committed they were to doing their best for their customers, but it’s really hard to believe those types of promises the fifth time around.

Well, Ehren [Tresner, VP of Technology and Innovation] and his team delivered on those promises. We may have experienced a few hiccups along the way, but in the end, the team at Fearing’s provided us with a room we can be proud to share with our team members and guests. Thank you, Fearing’s team!”

Miron now enjoys state-of-the-art meeting spaces that reflect their commitment to quality and innovation. The Wenzler rooms have been transformed into a source of pride for the company, providing a reliable and sophisticated environment for all their training, presentations, and meetings.
