Fearing’s Role as the AV Integrator

Fearing’s Audio Video Security was selected as the AV integrator for this Milwaukee project due to the strong, existing relationship with NCG Hospitality, the hotel’s operator. Key elements of the AV portion included:

• Installed AV systems for dividable banquet rooms and conference rooms

• Background music system throughout the facility

• Video systems installed in the three on-site restaurants

• High-end AV system installed in the ultra-luxurious Presidential Suite on the 8th and 9th floors, valued at $10,000 per night

Challenges and Successes

The Trade Hotel project came with its fair share of challenges, primarily related to supply chain delays that impacted the construction timeline. These included:

• Delayed window shipments, which pushed back drywall installation and other aspects of the project

• A condensed timeline that required multiple trades to work simultaneously, causing starts and stops as different teams needed access to shared spaces

• As the low-voltage contractor, Fearing’s often had to work around these delays but adapted to ensure the project’s success

Despite the challenges, the Fearing’s team worked diligently, ensuring the project was completed on time and to a high standard

Technology Used in the AV Systems

The AV system provided by Fearing’s featured High-end technology and integration, including:

• OSC and Q-Sys audio products

• Crestron control and NVX distribution equipment

• Cisco switches, Panasonic projectors, and Draper screens

• Shure microphones and additional assorted products

• Integrated motorized shades, Lutron lighting system, and SONIFI TV video system into the Crestron control system
