About Lighthouse Christian School
Lighthouse Christian School began humbly in 2004 with only 22 students. Today, it’s developed into a state-licensed child care center for all ages and a K-8 school. The current school population is around 350 students, not including the 32 children in daycare in the Elizabeth House, part of the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County.
Juanita (pictured above) was one of the school’s original students— but now you’ll be greeted by her at the front entrance! She’s just one example of the Lighthouse School’s staying power.
The idea for Lighthouse School was born out of Lighthouse Church with a mission to offer children a safe, quality elementary school education. Spearheaded by Pastor Tia Sierra, M.Ed, the school nurtures the spirit, mind, and body in a bilingual setting—English, Spanish, and Chinese.
Lighthouse Christian School maintains small class sizes while promoting community through mixed-age group classes and activities. The school is also now home to the Extended Hands Pantry, a volunteer-driven, faith-based non-profit organization that provides groceries and other household items to those in need. Extended Hands also offers tutoring services for children in low-income neighborhoods.
Lighthouse School & Fearing’s Audio Video Security
Lighthouse Christian School was in need of a new school surveillance system and looked to Fearing’s for a customized solution. We installed new high-resolution indoor and outdoor dome cameras that allow the staff to view live and recorded footage from laptops and handheld devices.
With years of expertise, Fearing’s has carved a prominent space in Wisconsin’s education industry. We help schools stay safe with a range of solutions, from access control to advanced alarm systems. According to the 2022 State of School Safety survey, 60 percent of students reported feeling safe at school. At Fearing’s, we strive to make that number 100.
